The UN pail EasyOpen is now available in a design approved for density up to 2.0. Like the existing design for density 1.6, the pail has a press lid with a securing ring in plastic. The pail can be closed in a simple pneumatic lid press and no special closing tool is needed. To open the pail, the plastic ring shall be broken and removed, after which the metallic press lid can be opened in an usual way. The lid on the pail with UN approval for density 2.0 has a gasket in polyurethane. This material has a better resistance against strong solvents compared to the existing PVC gasket. The EasyOpen pail is available in the sizes 2,5, 3, 4 and 5 litres.
