Customer case study – Nyåkers
Choosing metal packaging is a smart choice when working with food and drink. It provides an exclusive image while offering a long shelf life for the products and benefiting the environment, since the metal is recyclable. One customer that has chosen Emballator Metal Group for its packaging solutions for biscuits is Nyåkers. Each year, Emballator Metal Group produces several hundred thousand biscuit tins for Nyåkers.
Nyåkers is the world’s second largest manufacturer of gingerbread biscuits, but also manufactures other confections such as almond biscuits and cardamom rusks. Since 2005, Nyåkers has entrusted Emballator Metal Group to manufacture its biscuit tins. “Emballator Metal Group was an easy choice as there is a local connection and it’s a privately owned company in Sweden linked to Herenco,” says Nyåkers CEO Christoffer Öhberg.
– “We have a good, close and equitable partnership with Emballator Metal Group,” Christoffer continues.
The biscuit tins are produced and printed in Nybro. Christoffer believes good packaging provides added value.
– “Good packaging should result in strong sales and we want our tins to last,” he says.
Tins have a long service life, seal well and are tough and robust. This means that both the tin and its contents keep over time. Christoffer is very pleased with the biscuit tins from Emballator Metal Group.
– “The tins are of good quality and can take a beating. They last a lifetime,” he ends.
